Redpath and Company Promotes Four CPAs to Director

St. Paul, Minnesota (October 1, 2018) – Certified public accounting firm, Redpath and Company, Ltd. (Redpath), has promoted Brooke Hanssen, Alex Helkamp, Cathy Lydon, and Emmett Mulcahy to Director.

Brooke Hanssen, CPA, leads the estate, gift, and trust tax service area. She assists clients with business succession planning, wealth transfer planning—including estate, gift, and charitable planning—estate settlement and compliance, trust accounting and administration, and audit support. Brooke also advises clients on cash flow planning for retirement and goal-based objectives. Brooke joined Redpath and Company in 2012. She holds a Masters of Accounting from the University of Minnesota in addition to her B.S.B in Accounting.

Alex Helkamp, CPA, CCIFP, is a member of the business tax service area. He assists clients with business tax planning and accounting services, specializing in working with companies in the construction industry. He is an active member of the construction industry team and has been with Redpath and Company since 2011. Alex holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

Cathy Lydon, CPA, is a member of the audit and accounting service area and leads the not-for-profit industry team. She has extensive experience performing financial audits and Federal single audits in accordance with Uniform Guidance. Her audit experience includes governmental and not-for-profit entities, charter schools, healthcare, DEED Extended Employment Program Compliance audits, and employee benefit plan audits. Cathy joined Redpath and Company in 2008 and holds a B.S. in Accounting from St. Cloud State University.

Emmett Mulcahy, CPA, CVA, leads the valuation service area. He assists clients with business valuations for ESOPs, estate and gift taxes, shareholder buyouts, buy/sell agreements, and transaction consulting purposes. Emmett works with a variety of clients in industries such as construction, architectural and engineering, family limited partnerships, manufacturing, and real estate. He joined Redpath and Company in 2008 and holds a B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of St. Thomas.
